Disappointing

| I bought this blower solely on the Weed Eater brand name. It had about the same specs as my old one of a different brand (which I could no longer find). The new one is louder, has more vibration, and less intensity than the old one. Those characteristics were observed independently by my wife and myself. Try another brand. |
Decent machine but loud,cumbersome

| I bought this from Lowe's after reading the good reviews in Consumer Reports. I've had it for about two or three years and after only a few uses, the zipper on the vacuum bag broke. Zipper is very cheaply made. Converting the machine from a blower to a vac and vice versa is more difficult than it should be. It's loud, but they all are. If you use anything thicker than a 14 gauge power cord, you cannot utilize the cord holder on the machine and the cord will fall off the plug after a short time of use and the machine will of course cut off. So... you'll have to hold the cord and the machine with one hand. This is a pain in the a$$! It does blow/suck hard enough to move leaves like it supposed to and I guess if you are careful enough with the zipper and don't mind the aggravating conversion and power cord issue, then it's ok, at best. Once again, Consumer Reports missed the mark by highly recommending this. It's an average to below average product. |
Don't buy this

I bought this item and immediately after the warranty expired, 2 years, the plastic developed two holes in the side of the plastic housing. The holes allow debris to exit and this debris can injur someone that is NOT wearing gloves.
The unit was sucking up leaves when this ocurred.

My hubby loved it.

| I got this as a present for his birthday and he loves it. It is light and he can take it on top the house without any trouble. The only negitive is having a cord, but that isn't much as it works great. I would buy it again. |
It exceeds my expectation

| The product exceeds my expectation. With $25, what else better can you buy? It's powerful. You can also do vacuum, but when I vacuum the garage floor that has lots of durt and dust, too much dust came out from the bag. so, it was not good for that. When I purchased it, I worried that I may get a toy. Also, there was one bad customer feedback, which made me worry. I, however, found that it's more worth than $25. |
Second one in 18 months

Okay, we bought one of these 18 months ago at Costco. I ordered the accessory kit for roof blowing from the manufacturer. My husband is in charge of leaf blowing, so I have no idea what he does with the darn thing. I just know a lot of things break when he uses them.
The blower worked fine for a year. Two months ago, he says a bolt "just fell off" and we couldnt' figure out where to put it back. So, he continued to use the blower, and finally, it just started smoking and quit.
Since the price is so low, and we already had the accessory kit, we decided to try another. So far, it's working fine. It's a terrific blower when it's working, but I think something should last longer than 18 months, that's why I gave it just three stars. |
Not that powerful

| I bought this based on the other reviews and I am disappointed in the power of this. The mulching is slow and not worth the effort. I will be looking to get a gas one with more power and will give this to my son to play with as a toy. |
For that price - who can complain!

| This product does exactly what it's designed to do best. It was designed to be a blower and it does that well. Vacuming, well, I can't speak to that. I bought it to blow leaves off my deck and it works great for that. This isn't the industrial blower to clear your parking lot, or blow leaves off your 3 acre yard but it for sure is the blower to blow grass clippings off your sidewalks and driveways, and leaves off your deck. |
Weed Eater #GA2010 Rain Gutter Blower Attachment

I bought this blower simply because I wanted one that could utilize the gutter attachment.
The blower works fine, about the same as the large electric Toro I have. I think the Toro is more powerful, but noisier. |

Basically good product but design and instructions need improvement

| The assembly instructions were confusing and in very small print--went to the Weed Eater web site where the illustrations were much better. Why would you need a screw driver to convert from blower to vac? Couldn't the designer come up with an installed lever or button to do the trick? Other than those complaints the product works as advertised and the price with free shipping beat local stores by 15-20%. |

| I only rated this a 1 star because it wouldnt let me give it a 0 star rating. Did what it is advertised to do for about 7 1/2 minutes. Then it just shut off! Wont restart at all. I thought the plug came out of the wall? Checked my breaker? Nope just wont do anything. While it did work, the "so-called" collection bag blew so much dust and debris around that I had to re-wash my car. Went to empty what little there was in the bag and the zipper broke! Switching from blower to vaccuuming is the biggest pain I have ever dealt with. You have to have a flat blade screw driver or knife to flip an almost inaccessable latch. Then wrestle with a spring-loaded gaurd just to put on the Vac attachment. Then you have to fight the thing just to put it back into blower mode. JUNK! Poorly designed, not user friendly, worthless quality, and it only worked for about 7 minutes!!!!!! I debated for a bit at our local store between this and a Poulan for about 24 bucks more. Should have gone with the other one. |

The Weed Eater EBV215 12 AMP 215 MPH Electric Blower/VAC, 16:1 Mulch Ratio appears to be a great value for our cost. The unit is light weight and easy to use and change functions with little effort.

| This is my first blower and it works as I had expected. It is very powerful but easy to handle. The power switch on my unit sometimes needs to be moved a tad to start. I have not used it as a vacuum or a mulcher but if blowing debris is what you are after, the price is excellent and it does the job very well. |
Weed Eater Blower/Vac

| The weight and performance of the weedeater itself, is very good. However, the bag that is furnished for vacuum, is really bad. On second use, the zipper broke, the same problem I had with previous one I owned. They need to redesign zipper with making sure it is stronger and goes straight across. The bag throws out a lot of dirt, which is bad for your respiration and cleanup. |

I mainly use the vac portion of this product. The bag's zipper got crossed teeth after about 8 uses. Called weedeater and they said go to a local dealer. I'll write back on how that goes. Otherwise is a good product.
Weed Eater replaced vac bag, I think they knew it was defective from the start. Other than the crossed teeth problem I like this product! |
Does the job very well. Needs one very small improvement

| I've had this blower/vac for about six months now. Overall I am very impressed for the money I paid. This model was rated well by a leading consumer magazine and I understand why. It is very powerful and the ability to change from a blower to a vac is great and quick. The changing process is the only place I see a need for a slight improvement. You need a small screwdriver to make the change and the process could be tool free with a small redesign. This is still a great product and I would recommend it to anyone. |
